Well now ... been quite some time, no? Hmm ... how are things
coming along, you might ask. Quite slowly, honestly. Normal life
has been getting in the way, I fear. The side projects I mentioned mangaged
to turn themselves into full time works. I have resently come into a
partnership of sorts and Black Dream Designs has now become a part
of Shattered Dream Studios. Fear not, though, in the past few days
I've made quite a bit of progress on the site.
The intro is complete ... and I will be uploading it soon for you to
sneak a peek at. The interface is done, finally, and work has begun
on putting the bulk of the site together .. so it shouldn't be long now.
Macromedia has recently released version 5 of Flash .. and let me tell you ..
it has opened a whole new world of possibilities for the site. I think you'll
be pleased. At least I hope anyway. I've made the decision to switch from an
ASP driven guestbook and emailer to a much simpler and more reliable PHP
version. I'm still unsure of the chances of scripting web ring info into a full
Flash site .. but I'll cross that bridge in a few days. I am interested in adding
a section for fan fiction and art .. so if anyone has any poetry, short stories,
or art work they would like to submit, just send it my way and I'll be happy
to include it in the site.
Alright .... I guess that's all for now. The rest of the site is down, but the
guestbook is still functioning. I'd like to know what you think about things
as they stand. Maybe make a few suggestions or ideas for the new site? Drop
me a thought. I'll update again as soon as I make some progress on things.
